The application offers a streamlined process for digitizing chess games by scanning score sheets. Upon scanning, the text is extracted to generate a playable game, accompanied by an overview of the score sheet alongside the identified moves. Users can effortlessly correct any misinterpretations of moves through an intuitive suggestions system.
Once the game is generated, players can categorize it by tournament, conduct analysis on platforms like Lichess or Chess.com, or export it in PGN format. Both integrated scanning and gallery selection features ensure flexible score sheet capture. The application accommodates specific configurations for both White and Black players, catering particularly to tournament directors by allowing for dual score sheets per player.
The game generation process begins immediately after scanning, although there is also an option to manually adjust the move grid. Notably, the application supports a variety of notations including but not limited to:
- English: N/B/R/Q/K
- German: S/L/T/D/K
- Dutch: P/L/T/D/K
- Spanish / Italian: C/A/T/D/R
- French: C/F/T/D/R
- Portuguese: C/B/T/D/R
- Czech / Slovak: J/S/V/D/K
While additional notations can be specified, accuracy may vary due to reliance on pre-supported models.
Game data is processed on external servers, with generation times typically ranging from 1 to 10 seconds depending on factors such as score sheet clarity and internet connectivity. An interface presents a visual summary of the score sheet alongside generated moves, where the background color indicates movement likelihood. Users can quickly navigate to specific positions with suggested alternatives available at each step.
If inaccuracies arise in move recognition, a filtering system allows for precise corrections based on piece selection. After adjustments, users have the ability to regenerate the game from that point onward.
An overarching interface showcases all input games, equipped with filters for tournament, round, and favorites. A dedicated search function further streamlines finding specific games by player names or descriptions.
Filtered results or individual games can be exported as PGN files, with customizable settings to include essential data such as tournament details and dates. The app also permits the importation of additional games via PGN files.
For deeper analysis, users can open their games directly within Lichess or Chess.com. Premium features encompass:
- Addition of score sheets for a second player
- Direct analysis in Lichess and Chess.com
- Enhanced PGN export functionalities
